Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a subarea of the Osteopathy, which has been developed by Dr. Still. It is a manual therapy and enhancing the function of the craniosacral system - the physiological body system comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
CST is a way of gently encouraging this system to move freely in normal, healthy patterns. The intervention is through very light touch involving only about five grams of pressure (the weight of a nickel). This triggers the body’s self correcting mechanism and movement distortions are resolved.
CST is an effective option for people suffering from migraine headaches, TMJ, chronic neck and back pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, PTSD, and more!
This workshop provides an introduction to the craniosacral concept an exploration of the basic anatomy and structure of the craniosacral system, combined with practical exercises in perceptual skills. |
